Ready for Lift-Off

We have begun work on the DEC Changemakers website, which will document the various social projects taking place at our camp this summer. Before we could start, however, we had to convince the campers to choose our project over the others. We presented our ideas in a fun and exciting manner and the campers appeared eager to join us.

Once our team was in place, there was still more preparation work to do, including, of course, learning how to build a website. However, since this is DEC Camp, we do things here in a different way. Instead of simply focusing on the skills needed to create our site, we also looked at the limits that we set on our work by underestimating our abilities and did a few activities to make the team realize that they were individually and collectively more prepared for this project than they may have realized.
